Kelly and Nancy Scott moved to Charlottesville in 2000, with three children in tow, to launch a ministry called Cru at UVA. Coming from an athletic background, Kelly found himself ministering to a number of athletes and coaches, so taking up the role of director for Athletes in Action in 2008 was a fluid transition. The Scott's have grown to a family of seven and love hosting students in their home next to UVA's grounds. Nancy's giftedness in the arts is displayed through her singing, culinary flair, and creativity in making a warm, welcoming home. She also enjoys running, getting coffee with students and other friends, and reading a good novel. Kelly did his graduate study at Reformed Theological Seminary and is ordained through the Presbyterian Church of America, locally at Trinity Presbyterian Church. He, too, loves meeting students, coaches, and other friends for coffee or at one of Cville's many lunch spots, playing & coaching soccer, and playing games or cards with his kids.
Amy Dodd joined the AIA staff team at UVA in 2012 after interning at the University of Alabama for two years. An upstate New York native, Amy played basketball at Gordon college in Boston and still hustles students out of their lunch money on the court, when she's not leading a bible study on "thou shalt not steal" or mentoring student-athletes. She really does love all kinds of sports (tennis, ripsticking, soccer, running, etc.), hanging out with her roommates, and reading. She is a member of Charlottesville Community Church.
